Death Treaths in Denmark

Filed under: All, In the News

Just thought I should share this story. It is totally rediculous, but I guess thats what you can expect when you start discussing with fanatic fundamentalists.
You can read it here:
Death Threats in Denmark

I posted a reply to some of the posts at the site. The post #’s referred to in my post is in reference to posts at this board: GagWatch - Death Threats in Denmark

My reply:
#74 You said: We know that family relationship …Believing in God…believeing in any thing that is realted to civilized world is not a part of ur culture…

What a load of BS. And you wonder why we call you ignorant and uncivilized? Family is important to most people in the west and religion is important to many people in the west. Just because we are not fanatics such as you, doesn’t mean we dont believe and rely on family and our religion(s).

Someone else mentioned (do not recall what post #) how money is all that concerns us ‘westeners’. That is totally BS too.
I am Danish, I do not live in Denmark though. I am a mom and a wife. My husband and I have chosen for me to stay home and take care of our kid. Regardless of how little money he makes to support us. Our priorities are our family, the wellfare of our kid, education, and safety from fanatics.

As for ignorance… In Denmark it is mandatory for kids to learn at least 3 languages in grade school. Including Danish. Many kids choose to learn more than those 3 mandatory languages. When I went to school many years ago, I was taught the 3 mandatory languages, plus 3 other languages that I had to learn to read, and 1 voluntary language. So dont pull the ignorance card on any Dane. Besides, ignorance has nothing to do with how many languages you speak. Ignorance is lacking knowledge or comprehension of the thing specified. In this case you are ignorant of how westeners live or what the priorities of westeners are.

When was the last time you came to a western country, stayed for an extended period of time to learn our culture and ways of life? If you say never, then dont preach about how we dont believe in a religion or have family as a priority. I do not claim to know much about your ways of life in your country, but I did grow up in a peaceful Denmark. It was safe to walk in the streets after dark. Then Denmark allowed in a lot of immigrants from the middle-east and suddenly you couldnt walk in the streets without being grabbed, yelled at, spit at, or in the worst case raped or in other ways violated. Sure there are Danish criminals too, but take a look at some of the #’s that have been posted at this board. Foreigners take up the majority of the prison population.

Seriously, instead of sending foreigners to prison in Denmark for commiting a crime on Danish soil or against the people, they should just be sent back to where they came from. I dont care if they came to Denmark (or any other country) to seek political asylum. If they cant live by the laws, send them back and let their own country deal with the criminal scum.

As I said before I do not live in Denmark, and as an immigrant in my new country I see it as my duty to adapt to this new country. I am not saying I changed my religion etc. but I do have to follow the laws and social rules of this new country. And I believe that anyone who moves to a new country should do the same. If you move to Denmark, live by their rules and social laws. If a news paper writes an article about a subject that offends you, then dont buy the news paper. Sure you are allowed to express your dismay, but no need for threatening people. What you do behind your own closed door is up to you (as long as it is not breaking the laws).

Denmark, as most civilized countries, has freedom of speech. This doesnt mean you can go say to someone that you are going to kill them. That is not freedom of speech, that IS an act of violence, even if you do not act upon it.

Again in reply to a post I do not recal the # of: Contrary to ‘your’ beliefs, the Danish legal system do not torture or execute criminals. Although in certain circumstances it probably wouldnt be a bad idea.

And last… Reply to post #35. Denmark is a monarchy. We do not have a president. Now that is ignorance. If you dont have a clue who and what you are talking about then dont say anything at all.

Thanks for reading and I am ready for the death threats now ;)
