Counter-Protesting!
A fellow blogger (Dan Kauffman) just sent me a link to a fantastic site. The article talks about a protest in France, where more than 4000 islamic protesters congregated to protest the Muhammad drawings. Of course they have the right to do so. If it is a peaceful protest!
When they arrive at La Nation, they are met by two men with different signs.
One, in red and white, is wearing a sign with the Danish flag saying “Support Denmark, Support free speech”. The other man is wearing a sign reading “Free Cartoonist” on it, and is holding a (fake) severed hand, a pen among its fingers.
The two men just stands silently while the islamic protester gang up around them yelling stuff such as: rat face, homosexuals, its provocation, sons of adultery, and sons of whores.
You can read the whole story and see the video here : ¡No Pasarán!
I am in no way a racist, but these so called peaceful muslims are starting to piss me off. They come to our countries to seek asylum (some of them do) and then they proceed to tell us what we can or can not do. If they dont like our ‘ways’, then they need to go home and stay there.
The cartoons were printed in a Danish newspaper, in Denmark, for the Danish people. If they (the muslims) dont like the content of the newspaper maybe they shouldnt read it. It was only cartoons for Christ sake! When we (the westerners) do not agree with something we do not start things like this. WE are a civilized people. I just can not believe that this has come to this. Only proves how ignorant some people can be.
Another thing is… The other day I heard or read (can not remember) that the Muslims are considered a minority. And we have to treat them as we treat other minorities. Excuse me? Isnt there like 1.2 billion muslims out there? Isnt islam one of the biggest (if not the biggest) religions? How can they be a minority? I think I need to start demanding special treatment everywhere I go. I am a Dane in America and I am Lutheran. Now thats a minority. I think I am the only one here in our town.
Ok, enough of my ranting. Feel free to leave a comment. But if you dont agree with me, dont tell me that I dont have the right to post my thoughts here. Remember I do live in the USofA and I do take my first amendment rights seriously!

I was applying for scholarships last year and being a lesbian is considered a minority, too. I told my husband I had to leave him for a woman so that I could get free college!

“It was only cartoons for Christ sake!”
So? LOL read my post about the Valentine Jihad! Some of the Salafah’s think they can tell us what to do, think or believe without any limitations.
It’s only Valentines being burned, what’s the Big Deal?
It is an assault on personal freedom, belief and thought.
Here let me give you a little quote from a group that raided a Card Store.
“We will not let anyone sell these cards or celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Asiya Andrabi, the group’s leader, as she held a burning poster in her hand. “These Western gimmicks are corrupting our kids and taking them away from their roots.”
You know, I really do not care what other’s believe or what Holidays they wish to celebrate, unless they decide to tell ME which ones I get to celebrate or what I have to believe”
Remember the Words of Benjamin Franklin!
“We must hang together, or we will most assuredly hang seperately!”

Dan,
I dont know if I didnt make my self clear enough, or if I am not understanding you correctly. What I was trying to say with my : It was only cartoons… statement is that, it is nothing to get so riled up about. We have the right to say what we want to say. So these muslims have to calm down. If they cant understand that they can leave the country. I know that in Denmark political and religious cartoons are an every day thing in the newspapers. And has been for decades. These muslims needs to just shake it off and move on. It was just some cartoons. Nothing to get all upset about.
And this whole Valentines jihad is just ridiculous. Sure here in the US we have religious issues too. I get pissed when people tell me it is Happy Holidays and not Merry Christmas. I get pissed when people tell me it is not longer a Christmas tree but insteas a holiday tree. I get pissed when people tell us that we can not have a nativity scene in front of our local town hall. BUT I dont run off and call for a Jihad. Here in the west we deal with such issues in a civilized manner. We appeal to our government. The muslim are just out to look for trouble. And since the steam was starting to run out of the whole cartoon deal, they start up with the Valentines issue. Whats next?
It is time the west says STOP. Before long we will have bombings etc. in big cities of the west, and only because some cartoons were posted in a country where such cartoons are perfectly legal and a great form of entertainment
The muslims need to understand this, which I know they never will.
I say we deport all muslims (who were not born in our countries) back to the countries they came from!
And of course any other immigrants who decide not to follow our legal and social laws!
Wow, now I really sound like a racist LOL.

Oh shoot I got sidetracked again LOL
What I meant by “They are just cartoons…” is: When I see a cartoon that offends me I say “what an asshole” and I move on. No cause for me to get upset about it.
When the muslims saw the cartoons they didnt care. Not until Abu Laban added 3 more. Then all hell broke out.
I wouldnt have made a big deal out of it. So to me they were just cartoons for Christ sake!

I agree with you totally, Soto. And the weaker we respond to the militant Muslims, the more they will try to intimidate us.

I think it has more to do with primitive tribal ignorance than anything else.
That means you are right - it won’t be over fast.
