House with a View
And this is the view we had today. At first it was pretty scary, but then we came to find out that it was in fact a controlled burn. It is so dry here and the fire danger is extreme, so the fire department opted to burn the grass land, so should there be a ‘real’ fire, the houses would be somewhat protected. They burned all the grass land between my house and the mesa that you might be able to see in the background.

I’m willing to bet that the first sight of this fire was upsetting. Controlled burns have been known to get out of hand. Hope this one went ok!
